DC1000 -Universal Digital Controller
The DC1000 family of microprocessor-based controllers combines a high degree of functionality and reliability at a very low price in four different formats: 1/16 DIN, 1/8 DIN, 3/16 DIN, 1/4 DIN. These controllers are ideal for controlling temperature in a variety of applications, including:
Dryers
- Semiconductor packaging/testing
- Plastic processing
- Packaging machinery
- Painting and coating
- Environmental chambers
- Small ovens/furnaces
The DC1000 family provides basic control requirements, plus advanced features such as motor position control, phase angle power control and set point programming.
Features:
- Dual Display: Two large four-digit displays and one LED bar graph to display the PV, SP and output.
- Programs/Segments: A maximum of two program profiles can be stored and up to eight segments can be programmed to each profile or linked together to form a single 16 segment program.
- Configuration: Two different configuration levels provide easy access to parameters. A four-digit security code prevents unauthorized changes. Parameters can also be hidden to prevent misconfiguration of the unit.
- Universal Input: Accepts 21 different types of thermocouples, RTDs, current and volt linear inputs.
- Universal Power Supply: The DC1000 can operate on any line voltage from 85 Vac to 264 Vac at 50/60 Hz continuously.
- Communication: An optional RS485 communications interface provides a link between up to 30 units and a host computer through ASCII protocol

UDC 2500-Universal Digital Controller
Built on a legacy of performance and reliability, Honeywell's next-generation controller, the UDC3500, delivers unmatched power, flexibility and performance in the popular ¼ DIN size. Available as a single loop or dual loop controller, the waterproof NEMA 4X/IP66 faceplate allows it to be used in wash-down applications. Simple, intuitive software makes controller configuration a snap. A wireless infrared communication port enables controller setup from a Pocket-PC or computer. Ethernet communication allows easy connection to plant networks. Application flexibility is assured with up to five analog inputs, math and logic functions and Accutune III tuning with fuzzy logic overshoot suppression. The UDC3500 controller is easy to install, easy to configure, easy to operate and easy to own.
Features:
- NEMA 4X - The UDC3500 controller faceplate is rated NEMA 4X/IP66 which allows it to be used in wash-down applications. The front face of the controller will withstand a continuous spray of water at 65 gallons per minute from a 1 inch diameter nozzle for 5 minutes from a distance of 10 to 12 feet.
- Three Universal Inputs -Three universal analog inputs can be configured to operate as 1 universal and 4 high level (4 to 20 ma) to provide 5 analog inputs. Each input is isolated, and the controller will accept inputs from a carbon probe for carbon potential control or a feedback slidewire for position proportional control.
- Two Loops of Control -The UDC3500 can be used as a single loop or dual loop controller and can be configured for internal cascade control.
- PC Tools -Create configuration with the intuitive software program running on a pocket PC, a Desktop or a laptop computer. Create and edit configurations live or off line and save in a reference file for future use or to download to other controllers. The software is available in English, Spanish, Italian, German and French.
- Infrared interface -The infrared interface provides a non-intrusive wireless interface connection with the controller and maintains the NEMA 4X/IP66 integrity. No need to get access to the back of the controller to communicate with the instrument, no need to take your screwdriver and wire a communication cable. You can duplicate an instruments configuration, upload or download a new configuration in just a matter of seconds, simply by pointing your pocket PC in the direction of the instrument.
- Ethernet Communications -Industry standard Ethernet communications is available as an option on the UDC3500 controller. This option uses Modbus TCP/IP to connect to other Ethernet networks allowing the user to monitor the process from almost anywhere.
- Logic Gates -Five logic gates configurable as OR, NOR, AND, NAND, XOR, XNOR, or COMPARATOR. Each gate has two inputs and one output. Logic gates may be linked together to perform more complex functions.
- Setpoint Programming -Enables you to program and store up to ten Ramp and ten Soak segments for setpoint programming. Run or hold of program is keyboard or remote digital switch selectable. Each Soak Segment may have a unique Guaranteed Soak Deviation value. Each Ramp and Soak Segment can be configured to use any of four PID sets.
- Multi language prompts -The UDC3500 display can be configured in five different languages, English, Spanish, Italian, German and French.
- Security Lockout -User selectable 4-digit code is available to maximize process security. Choose from any one of five levels to lock-out just a few functions or the entire keyboard.
- Accutune III -Accutune III with fuzzy overshoot suppression recognizes both setpoint and load changes and is a standard feature on the UDC3500 Controller. "Fast tune" will tune the process to reach temperature as quickly as possible while "Slow Tun" minimizes overshoot.
- Position Proportional control -Provides two relay outputs to position a drive motor. The input circuit accepts a feedback slidewire to monitor the actual drive motor position, providing tighter control.
- Math Algorithms -General math equations are provided that allow advanced functions such as a Feedforward Summer, Multiplier/Divider, Weighted Average, High/Low Select, Carbon Potential, Dewpoint, Relative Humidity, Adder/Subtractor, etc. Simply choose the math function from a menu, no confusing function blocks.
- Heater Break Alarm -Continuously checks the controller current output to insure the end element (heater) has not failed. A failure will trigger an alarm.
- Thermocouple Diagnostics -In addition to the standard configurable upscale, downscale or failsafe output burnout selections, the condition of the thermocouple can be monitored to determine if it is good, failing or in danger of imminent failure.

DCP 200 : Digital Controller Programmer
The DCP200 with a graphic/text LCD display is an affordable temperature and process controller with advanced functionality including profiling and datalogging options. Designed to improve user efficiency many features are integrated to reduce commissioning time, simplify operation and minimise maintenance downtime. The LCD screen on DCP200 displays real-text messages, removing ambiguity that can be caused by mnemonic codes on LED displays used in many products. Information is displayed in a logical format to be easily understood, hence reducing the risk of errors. User screens are only displayed as each function is enabled; creating an optimised menu structure that is simpler to navigate. Access to specific settings and parameters can also be restricted by assigning them to password protected supervisor and configuration parameter access levels. The process of configuring the DCP200 is simplified as a setup wizard runs on first power-up. The user is guided step-bystep through the common parameter settings to quickly program the unit. These settings can be saved on a memory stick via the USB port and can be used for reconfiguration or to program other DCP200 units. BlueControl software can be used for on and off-line configuration. Flexible input and output option boards mean that the controller can be selected to precisely match an application. Universal process input (Thermocouple, PT100 & linear DC), digital inputs, remote setpoint inputs, RS485 and Ethernet (Modbus TCP) comms and up to nine outputs (relay, SSR driver, triac, linear DC and 24V transmitter PSU) are all available. The profiling function supports 255 segments for use in up to 64 profiles; segments supported are ramp, dwell, hold, loop, jump to profile. Profile control is possible from the controller, remote input or timed via the integral real time clock. There is an increasing requirement to log process data for quality control purposes. The optional datalogging feature is a low cost method of recording historical data for exporting to a .CSV file.
